Life Lately

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone! After building up to Christmas for so long (I had the Christmas CD playing in my car in October) its hard to believe its finally here. The excitement was so real when I recieved my first few presents a couple of days ago. I love trying to guess what could be inside the parcels! I also watched The Santa Clause 3 yesterday which left me feeling very Christmassy. I love how the adults are just as, if not more, excited than the kids to be at the North Pole. I'd be jumping up and down with joy too! 

I was looking through my old instagram/ updatey posts a couple of nights ago and it was so interesting to see what I was doing a few years ago. I thought I'd do a new one to show you the nice Christmas pictures and ridiculous amounts of unhealthy (but delicious) foods which I've snapped lately.

Instagram | The Last Few Weeks In Pictures #15

Hey Everyone!

In all honesty, I somehow cannot grasp the basic principles of instagram. Instead of taking a picture, adding cool effects and sharing it on the spot, I save 2/3 weeks worth of pictures and post them all in an enormous bundle late on a Saturday night (ready to post the next day.) This takes heaps of time, and I imagine my followers are a bit disheartened when 324837832 of my pictures come up in their timeline/ newsfeed (instagram equivalent?)

Therefore, over the next two weeks I aim to post pictures as I take them, which will make things a lot easier and ensure I use the app as its meant to be used.

Little rant over, onto the actual post! I have been so, so busy over Christmas and New Year; the homework I was given was off the scale which really sucks since Christmas is the time of year you have the least motivation to work. I planned to write heaps of blog posts and film videos etc but none of that happened. Its a shame that my blog gets pushed aside so readily as it really is something I enjoy, but I suppose its ultimately a hobby, and school is more important.

Ok I'm just going to stop myself rambling right there so this post doesn't turn into a novel (as my late night drafts so frequently do!)

Hey Everyone!

I'm currently taking a break from my maths homework which, frankly is making me want to jump out the window. I have a lot to do today, so I'll keep this post quick.

I've had a very festive themed fortnight (besides the endless hours studying which is not enjoyable at all!) I decided to have Friday night and yesterday off so I got all festive on Friday and decorated my room whilst listening to Christmas songs and yesterday I went shopping (and bought some new killer red heels!).

I've actually tried to publish this everyday since Sunday and it just won't post argh! 3rd time lucky...

Hey Everyone! I can proudly say that for the last week I have been really focused with my studies- yet I have also managed to find a few hours for blogging/ YouTubing. I think the key is time management and I'm going to try and organise and use my time really effectively so I can do everything I want to. I don't know about you, but I absolutely LOVE this time of year. Everything is just so festive and everyone has got Christmas fever. Sadly, I'm A Celebrity has finished- though that does mean an extra 2 hours added onto my night. I really enjoyed the show this year (as always!) and was happy for either Charlie or Ashleigh to win. What did you think of the result?

How has your week been? I kind of lost motivation to study this week which is bad, but starting tomorrow I will go back to my crazy busy girl again :) I have been absolutely loving I'm a Celebrity- I might have mentioned (many times) that it is my favourite program ever! I'm quite liking The X Factor too even though this year I've watched less than I ever have- tonight's result was crazy!

Hey Everyone!

Apologies for the lack of posts of late, the last week has been manic! I've got a few posts planned- just need to find the time to write them and likewise videos. Looking at these instagrams, I've had quite an autumnal themed fortnight; I never used to be that interested in seasons changing but I think the blogging and YouTube world gets you so excited and appreciative of it :)

I will be pretty busy this week too as I'm doing a show which I love but it means I have about 5 minutes for homework each night! Hopefully the week after things will calm down though and I can get bloggy blog blogging :) 

Oh and as a quick extra- I went to see Paranormal Activity 4 last night. I've not seen the other ones and I was so scared- it was so jumpy! I did think some parts were quite funny though as they were so unrealistic. Though I woke up at 5.25am this morning heart racing and sweating after the most horrible nightmare and I kept thinking the scary woman was going to jump out of my floor and kill me. I don't think I'll be watching any scary films for a while! Have you seen it? What do you think?

Hey Everyone!

How are you all? Surprisingly, I'm not in my usual Sunday night freak out at how busy I am state. I've actually had quite a relaxing night- watching X Factor (shock horror scandal at the drama!) and TOWIE (don't judge me, its only my second week watching it and I just enjoy it being on in the background). This week has been pretty good actually, though its went so quick! 

Good news is though that last night I wrote up a few posts so there won't be those long periods of nothingness. Also, I have been considering a bit of a blog revamp lately- I want to somehow create a kind of pretty sparkly aura as soon as you click on to my blog. So I might start messing about with some designs this week, though html does my head in as it takes forever!

Hey Everyone!

I realise over the past while my blog has kind of turned into a place where I rarely post and when I do its moaning about how busy I am. And do you know what? It looks like it'll continue like that for a while. School is so crazy its so hard to stay on top of everything so I think if I aim for like 2/3 posts a week I'm doing well. 

However, despite scary school shiz, the last few two weeks have been good! I discovered a fabby new app for Android which allows me to add sparkles to my pictures and make them look extra cool before I instagram them, I've been going out for meals quite a lot and today was great! I went to a vintage tea room for afternoon tea which was amazing and I also done some shopping (haul will be uploaded to my channel soon).

Hey Everyone!

I am so, so busy! This is literally the first time I've written a post in about a week (yep, apologies for the scheduled posts over the last few days). Recently, I just seem to have a never ending to-do list (thankfully the app Any.Do keeps me partially sane and organised) but as we speak/ as I type and you read, I have about 15484548 things to do. 

The last two weeks have pretty much consisted of school, school and more school. And studying. Does anyone else find that no matter how many times you go over something it just doesn't seem to be going in? Arghh! On the plus side though- I have discovered that my local library sells the.most.amazing.hot.chocolate.ever.

During the week seems to drag in, yet it also goes so quickly. The weekend is kind of the time were I think ok, be calm, and get up to date with everything. Yea that doesn't happen. On Friday I had a night in which was lovely, watching the soaps and having a luxury Soap & Glory shower. Saturday was non-stop; I went into town during the day for a friends birthday present and some bits and bobs then went to the friends that night which was fab. Then today I wrote a history essay and studied biology for my test on Tuesday. I have however managed to catch up on Waterloo Road and Doctor Who (yea I love it and I'm not ashamed to admit it!) On the downside, I'm now 3 episodes behind on X and Xtra Factor (sob). Haha I am aware that this is turning into a diary so I'll just go straight onto the pictures.

Update | Little Chatty Post

Hey Everyone!

How are you? I thought I would write an updatey kind of post this evening (aka early hours of the morning) to fill you in on what I have been doing/ different things going on. Be warned, when I start writing at this time I go on, and on, and on.

So firstly, as many of you will know, school has started back and its pretty much full steam ahead. I'm already studying every night (well that's the plan...) as well as homework, my drama/ musical club thingy-mibobby and extra-currcular shiz (Zumba, netball etc). So life is super hectic and it leaves around half an hour of laptop time before I go to bed (and no time for soaps- sob) so posts are a bit few and far between at the mo, but thanks for sticking with me everyone!

Also, you might have noticed over the past 6 weeks I have been doing an instagram post on a Sunday. My instagram isn't really linked in with my blog, to be honest I just use it for the cool effects, but if you feel your life would be enriched by following me then do I am julz_obsessions although it is private and pretty much silent except once a week where I just upload everything. Anyway, I am actually going to cut the instagram post down to once a fortnight (still on a Sunday) because since being back at school my life is very samey-samey.

Lol I wanted to insert a picture to break up the post a bit- I hope you don't think I'm vain! This was me today :)

I haven't really got any interesting news make up wise except I'm going through a complete crisis with school in that my make up just will not stay on my face the full day- especially my mascara which gives me huge panda eyes after just a few hours wear (telescopic my friend, what are you doing?!) Oh in fact last night (Friday) I made my first ever order from ELF which I have actually been considering for ages and I just finally done it. I bought 5 things and I simply cannot explain my excitement for the parcel arriving (watch out for a haul, unboxing or review video!)

Also, some of you might remember in this post I mentioned that I bought shorts to cut, distress, bleach, dye, ombre and stud. Yea well that hasn't happened. So far the shorts are just hung up in my wardrobe, the dye in my drawer and the studs favourited on my google chrome bookmarks list. But it will happen, I just need to find some time and some nice weather (how I miss those long days of summer where I had no commitments!) I want to film it all in individual stages and make it like a 3 parter for my channel.

I think that's pretty much covered everything that's been going on with me lately. Oh I went to see The Keith Lemon Movie on Tuesday and I really liked it. To be honest, the actual movie storyline was awful, but if like me you LOVE Keith Lemon you will think the movie is great! On that note, Celebrity Juice is back- hooorahhh!! Oh and whilst I'm on the topic of TV, please comment if you watch Pretty Little Liars- I watched this weeks episode today and I am truly shocked/ horrified/ disturbed/ amazed!

Oh my, this week has been so hectic! I literally haven't stopped and its only one week into the new school year- I'm getting worried about how stressed I'm going to be in a few months! I've just got a baby instagram post this week since my days have been pretty much the same.

I do this thing where I try stuff on to try and put me off it so I don't spent unnecessary money. It worked with the dress above but it made me want the blazer 100x more! Then tonight was great- eating Chinese food while watching The X Factor. I also wrote a few posts so if I'm busy again this week (which I think I will be!) I have a stock.

Hey Everyone!

Well that's the summer holidays officially over- back to the school routine! Sadly, that means slowing up with posting and permanent fatigue. My first day back was Friday, and it was actually ok- really long but it was good to see everyone again!

Today I just did bits and bobs- a bit of thrifting, collected contact lenses etc. Hopefully tomorrow will be a quiet day and I can get some posts written and videos filmed.
