DIY Bracelet from Sweet Wrappers

 

 

Hey Everyone!

As you will probably know, I'm a sucker for a DIY project. Let's be honest though, 9 times out of 10 its a disaster. But, after being contacted by the lovely people at Eco Market informing me of the great selection of eco friendly DIYs on their blog, I knew I had to give one a go.

What particularly appealed to me was "Sweet Ideas: Turning Candy Wrappers to High Fashion" because I am a penchant for colourful arm candy and I already had a stash of old Starburst wrappers (which some may consider a bit odd- but I am saving them to cover a shoe box). 

I simply sat watching Sex and the City a few nights ago and followed the step by step video. The tutorial is super straight forward and I found it really therapeutic sitting making this. The final bracelet is surprisingly sturdy and I will definitely be sporting this summer.

I would highly recommend giving this a go- I feel like a professional origami-ist!

Hey Everyone!

Well that's the summer holidays officially over- back to the school routine! Sadly, that means slowing up with posting and permanent fatigue. My first day back was Friday, and it was actually ok- really long but it was good to see everyone again!

From left to right and down:

yummy cake display | new brown brogue shoes | had a little bracelet making session on Wednesday | went to a vintage tea room for a delicious snack | my new black booties | another of the bracelets I made | solid glitter nails woo | cute shabby chic decor from Poundland | my spare time | off to Pizza Hut for a meal | all set for school | the cutest keyring and card from Meghan (notice how the keyring matches my blog?!)

I think I'll start putting up my instagrams on a Sunday rather than a Thursday since its the end of the week and just makes more sense. It's currently the early hours of Sunday morning and I am watching Friends. Today I just did bits and bobs- a bit of thrifting, collected contact lenses etc. Hopefully tomorrow will be a quiet day and I can get some posts written and videos filmed.
