Sunday Shopping 2: Primark

Hi everyone!

The little followers count is increasing every time I log on which makes me so happy- thank you guys! My week has been hectic as usual so blogging is my half hour break, though sometimes its longer when I'm distracted with Kardashians!

Today's shop is a classic: Primark. It's one of my favourite shops and when I'm in there's always something that catches my eye. It is extremely affordable, yet has a great range and fab interpretations of current trends.

I am loving their spring line just now, especially the chiffon blouses. These are a few items I have bought recently:

sheer cream blouse with burnt orange neck bow, nude cream sheer blouse, cream and brown small floral shoulder bag, navy jeans with thin brown woven belt

I absolutely love these neutral shades, they're perfect for the transition from winter to spring. The first blouse is smart and chic and the second is comfy and casual. They are both great tucked in to bottoms. Also, I love the bag as it goes with most of my clothes and it was on sale. Finally, the Ultra Soft Super Skinny jeans are a definite staple in my wardrobe. They are so comfy, flattering and since they stretch they're a fab fit.

The only flaw that I sometimes find with Primark is that sometimes their quality isn't the best. A few weeks ago I bought some welly-booties and the bows fell off after only a week. However, the store have a great returns policy so they were replaced easily.

Thats all from me, hope everyone has a good day!

  4. Thank you for such a lovely comment! I will continue as much as I can, and I know 100% that I'm not going to gain 1000 followers overnight, but when I log on I am just so pleased to find a few more followers! I love finding new blogs and I read them everyday though always forget to comment so I will definitely start. I will also check out that therapy blog you mention, it sounds fab :) Thanks for the follow xxx

  7. Love the post! I LOVE Primark! Though I have found lately that it follows the fashion trends more than it used to. This great for most people, but more often than not, I don't like the new clothes they have in. For example, there tends to be a lot of floral / vintage / nautical going on when I visit and that's just not me. I'm much more of a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl *shrugs*. They do tend to have a few things I like, but not as many as they used to. I've kind of moved on to Matalan, but I still pop into Primark whenever I pass it, even if it's just to look at the underwear, ha!

I read a previous comment about followers. I've been blogging for a few months, but only this past week new to the bblogger community, so had very few followers. I still don't have very many, but the number has increased over this past week just by using the hashtag and signing up to Bloglovin and Hello Cotton. I stiln't have very many, but I have gone up from only 3 on GFC to 4 on GFC, 5 on Hello Cotton, and 1 on Bloglovin. Granted, thats only seven, but it's seven more than I had. I know you take part in the #bblogers Sunday conversation as that's how I found your blog, so I agree with above - just keep doing what you're doing; as long as you're enjoying it, the readers will get there eventually :)

(In case I sound completely ridiculous talking about followers/readers when I have so few of my own, I have also been a book blogger for three years, and so - although the methods are completely different - the principle of doing what you love to get the readers actually does work, and have quite a number of regulars for my book blog. I just didn't know where to find those who would be interested in beauty before this past week! So keep at it, they'll come :) )

    I'll shut up now. :)

  8. Thank you for such a lovely comment! I love it too :) I have also found that Primark's style has changed, though I actually quite like it because I find it suits my style a lot more. I do completely understand where your coming from though, I too used to be a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl but over the past year my style has really changed to chiffon/neutrals/floral. I quite Matalan, I think the clothes on their adverts are nice but when I go in I never see anything :(

These kind words you have shared about blogging are very nice and helpful! I was really glad to find the bblogger community as I can really get my blog out there and find blogs which are of interest to me! I plan to set up a HelloCotton asap. That's really good, well you now have another- me! :) Thanks, that is what I think too, if your blog is unique and quirky and your personality shines through then people will find you.

Not at all, thank you very much for all the advice! What is book blogging I've never heard of it. Is it blogging about books or blogging in books?

Thanks again for your interest in my blog and your lovely, carefully written comment :)

    Julz xx

  10. Primark have been especially great for cute work shirts at the moment, loads of patterned and chiffon ones!
They're not the best quality, but they have new stock so often you can just buy newer/cuter stuff when it wears out! :) x
